A long-haired, soft-singing Northern troubadour who see his life through Hunter S Thompson quotes?
Yeh, we’re in*. But should really have a listen to his album Beauceron here to get a flavour of Pete Greenwood, before heading down to De Koffie Pot on Friday night. It’s gorgeous. And perfect for the Euro-style soft-lit venue down by the river.
Greenwood, who’s signed to Brown Leather Jacket Records, has played with Mojave 3 and Starsailor. His pysch-pop band opened for Jack White and the Brian Jonestown Massacre. But it’s his solo stuff that has an intimacy and smiling hoplessness that sounds like it could come from a stage in Greenwich Village.
(*We’re in, in spite of the final part of that sentence.)
